Customers can schedule appointments at most regional DMV offices across the state. Schedule an appointment online at a regional DMV office.
Skills tests and motorcycle tests may be postponed as necessary at some locations during inclement weather. Please contact the DMV at 1-800-642-9066 to see if tests are being conducted at your closest location.

Regional Offices will be closed on the following holidays:

- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Third Monday in January)
- President's Day (Third Monday in February)
- Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
- WV Day (June 20th)
- Independence Day (July 3rd and 4th)
- Labor Day (First Monday in September)
- Columbus Day [October 12, 2026] (Second Monday in October)
- Election Days (Tuesday of first full week of November in even-numbered years)
- Veterans Day (November 11, 2026)
- Thanksgiving Weekend [November 26-28, 2026] (Fourth Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in November)
- Christmas Day (December 25th)
